Peter Gilgan Foundation Supports Halton Hills Bicycle Challenge

A cheque totalling $66,000 was presented to the Georgetown Hospital Foundation at the Farmers Market Saturday. The money was raised by several groups including Georgetown Canadian Tire, Superior Glove, Ollie’s Cycle and Ski, Young Dentistry, HealthSpan Wellness, Betty D’Oliveira Realtor, The Peter Gilgan Foundation/Mattamy Homes, Epic Tour Halton, TD Bank Group, CPI Canada and Georgetown Chevrolet Buick GMC during the Community Bike Challenge, which reached its goal of 300,000 kms this summer.

The ambitious 300,000 km goal, which is equivalent to 7.5 times around the Earth at its circumference, was achieved thanks to the pedalling efforts of 827 participants.
