How To Apply

Organizations interested in applying for funding should first submit a 1-2 page Letter of Inquiry to the foundation. The letter should briefly describe:

+ The organization and the project or proposed activities

+ How the work aligns with the foundation’s interests

+ Intended request amount (and total project cost if applicable)

+ Why support from the foundation would be meaningful at this time

We will respond to the Letter of Inquiry within 4 weeks. Organizations that are invited to submit a full application will have up to 6 weeks to submit a complete package of materials that must include:

o Applicant Cover Sheet

o Proposal Narrative (maximum of 10 pages; please refer to “Grant Proposal Format” document for details)

o Attachments + Organization budget

o Most recently audited financial statements or tax return

o Board of Directors list

o List of foundation and corporate funders

o Proof of nonprofit charitable status

o Project budget (if applicable)

Foundation staff may also request a site visit as part of our review of the request. We aim to notify applicants of a decision within 6 weeks of receiving a proposal. There are no fixed deadlines, and Letters of Inquiry and full proposals are accepted on a rolling basis.
